There is a concept in computing called Moore's Law. It originated after Intel co-founder Gordon Moore wrote in a 1965 article that the number of transistors on a chip would double every 24 months. Much has been made of it's relevance to current technology and future processors.
Now, a new video from Microsoft provides a unique look into what the future may look like in 10 years time. We've mentioned touchscreen technology and Surface previously but this takes things to a whole new level.
There are numerous exciting ideas contained within the video so watch closely.
Keep an eye out for the digital newspaper!

Microsoft have often released videos through their OfficeLabs.com site but few if any have created the internet buzz that the 2019 clip has done.
You could say that communications and the internet were barely in their infancy during the days of dial-up access and Windows 98. The radical changes that will have been made between 1998 and 2019 will be startling by comparison.
In terms of classroom technology, the importance of cloud computing cannot be underestimated. Adoption of new technology can be fuelled also by the low manufacturing costs that companies are able to achieve in the global village. Emerging nations can become better equipped to deal with their own situations through new hardware and software tools.
Learning whether at home or in the classroom is likely to take on a whole new dynamic with teachers and pupils having access to much more innovative devices. It will banish the days of carrying bags filled with heavy schoolbooks firmly into the past.
Finally, if the idea of creating tomorrow appeals to you then have your local secondary school check out the new free Dreamspark offer for UK schools.
Teachers who register for the programme through Software4Students will be given software keys which they can then allocate to their students. From editing photographs to designing computer games, the Dreamspark free software range for secondary pupils is a must for any school.
The knowledge economy is always on the lookout for new talent. Let Dreamspark inspire!
